Strong technical skills with knowledge of backbone core switching elements and knowledge with routers, and other IP-related products.
Provide sales engineering support as well as technical marketing support for Foundry. As the primary technical interface, you will be responsible for:
Provide technical Sales support for all Foundry Networks L2-7 and Service Provider products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Networking sales experience as a sales engineer in the ISP/ILEC market.
Must have pre/post sales experience.
Strong technical skills with knowledge of backbone core switching elements and knowledge with routers, and other IP-related products.
Actively engage in all strategic selling and sales campaigns of all SP products in designated regions.
Interface directly with sales Directors and SEMs.
Report pipeline of all deals and update weekly.
Participate in bi-weekly conference calls with San Jose sales and marketing teams.
Strategic customer deployment staging, product performance testing and competitive product bake-offs. Involved in the actual set up and execution of these activities in addition to managing the successful completion of the project.
As part of the SP team, address queries on an ongoing basis regarding product technical specifications, configuration and other technical issues as the designated field interface/expert.
As the sales escalation interface, you will be responsible for documentation, priority assessment, staging, resolution and reporting on strategic customer pre and post sales related issues that may also require HQ intervention.

This position requires a professional with excellent communication skills who is willing to travel, and possesses:
B.S./M.S Degree or equivalent experience
5-7 year’s networking industry experience
3-5 year’s experience with ISP/ILEC, Service Providers, LAN switches, routers, and TCP/IP
Ability to communicate, both oral and written, on complex technical and sales issues (theatre style presentation experience is a plus)
Ability to transport and set-up hardware
