Walter USA, Inc. has an opening for a Sales Engineer in Kansas City, Missouri and surrounding region.
SALES ENGINEER
Reporting for the District Manager of the region, the Sales Engineer will provide necessary day-to-day sales and technical support that is required to meet the sales objectives of WALTER USA, Inc.
Key Performance Areas:
The successful candidate will identify, develop and monitor sales in specific growth accounts, make regular customer calls with distributor sales personnel to accounts and other end-users that are potential customers for Walter products, and independently identify and develop new customers. In addition, the sales engineer will provide technical support to end users and distributors, documenting products performance, and train key end-user personnel and sales force of the distribute network to facilitate proper application guidelines for Walter products.
Other Responsibilities will include:
· Submit reports and forecasts as requested on a regular and prompt basis.
· Adhere to company policies and procedures during day-to-day business activities
· Always conduct his/her self in a manner that would reflect proudly upon the image of the Walter Company
· Monitor Competitor Activities
· Generate quote requests for special tool and projects and maintain a log of these opportunities. Perform regular follow-up and information pertaining to the status of the project
· Assist as required in the settling of issues that relate to his/her specific distributors. This may include credit, quality administrative or other issues.
· Participate in local regional or National trade shows as required
· Obey all local, state and federal laws in all dealings within the industry
Your Profile:
The Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of sales experience with Industrial cutting tools OR five years of manufacturing experience and an ability to sell; knowledge of CNC Machining; general understanding of business and metal cutting processes and practices; have excellent oral and written communication skills, and have basic computer skills including the ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
