Therapeutic specialties — Gambro BCT delivers a range of technologies that enable advances in medicine through innovations in stem cell and white blood cell collections, cell and tissue processing, and therapeutic apheresis. Therapeutic apheresis is a process removing disease mediators or disease-carrying media from the patient. Cell therapies is the collection of blood cells, including peripheral blood stem cells and monocytes, from a patient or donor’s blood stream, then processing and re-infusing as a part of various treatments.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Gambro BCT is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Sales Business Analyst. This individual will hold responsibility for providing leadership in the areas of corporate strategic direction and objectives related to marketing strategies and sales tools, and (product line) problem resolution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrated ability working with operating systems and related applications for sales force automation.

Ability to communicate analytical data to non-data-driven personnel.

Must have good human relations skills to be able to handle all aspects of customer service.

Proven interpersonal, verbal, and technical writing skills.

Advanced knowledge of medical equipment and the blood banking industry.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage own time effectively.

Demonstrated desire and ability to participate in team efforts.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Analyzes the most complex sales, operational, and back office processes/resource allocation to improve the productivity and efficiency of the business.

Complete special complex projects and provides support for budgeting process and other division specific projects.

Initiates changes in tools, as needed, to improve associated processes.

Applies a proactive, positive and collaborative approach to problem solving.

Independently plans and arranges own activities; major projects are reviewed upon completion.

Detects needs, develops and performs queries, produces reports and gathers external data for decision-making.

Participates with senior management in developing marketing and/or sales strategies that will improve the overall effectiveness of the organization.

Leads the market share analysis for the Corporate Sales department.

Maintains awareness of and communicates information pertaining to successful marketing and sales strategies used elsewhere, and the appropriate use of emerging philosophies and/or technologies.

Develops and implements mathematical models to stimulate sales strategies and predict success. Identifies and communicates results and reasons for variances. Develops and proposes action plans.

Provide technical assistance, business/technical problem resolution, support, and training. Includes follow-up on service issues to help meet the customer’s needs. Often will need to interact with employees throughout the Organization and outside vendors on occasion.

Develop and implement procedure and work instruction within the Sales Force Automation System and other systems, such as LMS for internal use.

Gathers and provides detailed input/feedback to Americas Sales Management to recommend sales requirements for the sales force automation system and analysis tools.

Assists in the sales force automation and sales analysis strategy development with Field Management.

Works in a consultative manner with field consultants and in collaboration with other team members to ensure a successful utilization of sales analysis and customer relationship management tools.

Works independently or as a part of a team to resolve more complex problems for clients. Emphasis is placed on both technical issues and customer service, such as follow-up through the entire organization to resolve sales issues.

Operates independently in supporting and working closely with the ITS group through activities such as designing coding, testing, maintaining, supporting, installing information technology solutions, and administering training programs for clients.

Works with the Finance group to lead design, develop specifications, and to validate performance of new computer-based systems for Sales Applications.

Generates documentation on system changes as required.

Applies in-depth knowledge of the area(s) of assignment in the development of solutions to problems that are frequently complex and which may affect sales broadly.

Manages sales incentives, implementation of territory/region alignments and similar programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge necessary to perform in this position is generally acquired through a Bachelor's degree in business or other related field and 5 or more years relevant experience. Emphasis in Finance/Accounting, Marketing, Sales, or Business Administration, or the equivalent in related work experience demonstrating a good understanding of financial principals.

Thorough knowledge of sales and marketing theory, strategy and practice.

Thorough knowledge of the business's products and the therapies in which they are used.

Demonstrated and effective leadership skills including supervisor skills and experience.

Written communication skills and the ability to design and develop materials and programs.

Demonstrated team-oriented behaviors.

Willingness to take ownership and accept responsibility for actions and decisions.

Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the strategic planning process and the data necessary to support the process.

Demonstrated ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized, and diplomatic manner; ask appropriate questions in order to obtain information; listen effectively to other’s ideas and questions; maintain composure when challenged.

Demonstrated ability to present prepared information to individuals and/or groups in a manner that is clear and concise to hold their interest and address their needs or concerns.

Proficiency in mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and deductive reasoning.

Proficiency and aptitude in the use of relational databases and tools such as query generators, report writers, statistical/mathematical models and sophisticated graphics.

Sound understanding of business issues and applying computer system solutions to meet those business needs.

Demonstrated ability to identify root causes of problems and create new solutions to non-routine issues; identify inefficient business work processes and recommend technological solutions to improve; consider the implication and application of proposed solutions on other projects, programs, work units, or business information problems.
