Toyoda Gosei North America Corporation a major automotive supplier of automotive components has an immediate opening for the following position in Troy, Michigan:
SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER—BODY SEALING—DOMESTIC
Position Responsibilities:
· Manage accounts internally and externally to maximize customer satisfaction and ensure profitability.
· Assist in creating sales strategies to achieve corporate sales targets and support company vision. Gather and report relevant market information to support accurate Sales planning.
· Strategic Sales Planning and Market Research—assist in strategic planning to identify new business opportunities
· Internal Relationship Development—Help to foster an environment of teamwork and cooperation while relaying customer requirements, ratings, and upcoming new business to the entire TG organization
· Resolution of commercial issues--Work with customers to obtain accurate purchase orders and assist Accounting and Finance with collection of monies owed
· Managing of Engineering Change—Manage VE/VA’s and customer request such as engineering changes, quality improvements, quoting, negotiating, and updating data
· Internal and External System Management—Update all internal sales systems and be able to track and report changes to management internally.
· External Customer Relationship Development—Promote effective communication with Customers and develop professional working relationships with all Customer representatives. Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and meet or exceed customer deliverables.
Position requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3 years experience working in sales, engineering, and/or program management for tier one OEM or 5 years experience selling to the OEMs
· Must have strong analytical, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and technical skills.
· Occasional travel is required.
Qualities desired:
· Experience with Body Sealing products or Rubber extrusion process is beneficial.
Technical / computer skill requirements:
· MS Office and database skills
