Client is searching for a Safety Manager for their Northern California Cement Plant. This position will be responsible for the overall coordination and administration of Safety Programs. This candidate will administer the plant safety program, monitoring compliance with company policies and procedures and government policies and/or regulations. This candidate will conduct compliance inspections and audits. This candidate will perform industrial hygiene tests as required. This candidate will assure that all employees, visitors, and contractors are properly trained in job hazards and safe work practices. This candidate will maintain accurate record keeping of safety compliance and employee training records. This position requires a BA or BS degree or equivalent combination of college and safety management experience. This position requires 3-5 years safety experience in a heavy manufacturing or mining environment. This candidate should have experience in industrial hygiene sampling and computation. This candidate should have knowledge of State and Federal Statues and regulations pertaining to Safety- MSHA, OSHA, Cal-OSHA. This candidate should be experienced as a trainer in safety subjects. This candidate should have accurate record keeping skills and the ability to prepare required reports and analysis. This candidate should have the ability to work with teams and people in a Total Quality environment. Relocation is available for the right candidate.
