Job Summary

Large manufacturing facility in Indiana needs a Senior Safety Specialist (you may currently be a Safety Coordinator, Safety Engineer or Safety Supervisor or Manager).  Reporting to the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager, the Senior Safety Specialist will be responsible for total day-to-day Safety and Health and will supervise two Safety support individuals.  The company requires a minimum of 5 years solid experience in manufacturing plant Safety.  Bachelor's degree preferred.  Large plant experience preferred but not required.  Company offers competitive compensation and benefits and relocation.  

Qualifications:

·        Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing plant Safety

·        Large plant experience desirable but solid Safety experience most important

·        Oversee and evaluate safety and health programs and ensure compliance to federal, state and local safety and health regulations; monitor safe work practices on line and equipment process; analyze data on safety performance; develop and support improvement countermeasures; audit work practices; supervise emergency response procedures and implementation; coordinate various safety program efforts; and develop, conduct and evaluate effectiveness of safety training programs

·        Must have good interpersonal skills, be able to train others,  and have effective negotiating skills
