McKesson Automation is seeking a motivated individual to manage and maintain all on-site medication packaging and bar-coding operations related to our automated robotic drug dispensing system installed within the Capital Regional Medical Center's inpatient pharmacy located in Tallahassee, FL.
Current NeedThis full-time position offers 40 hours per week. The work hours are 8:30am-7:00pm (4 - 10 hour days) with alternating weekends and holidays.
Position DescriptionPOSTION SUMMARY: Responsible for learning the important terminology and components of the ROBOT-Rx and Packager functions. Responsible for completion of assigned ROBOT-Rx and Packager daily operational tasks. KEY RESPONSIBILTIES: * Complete daily cart fill and first dose procedures including ROBOT-Rx dispensing, manual picks, medication returns processing and restocking online inventory. * Completion of in-house ROBOT-Rx ready packaging for all medications not available from the wholesaler in a ROBOT-Rx ready format (i.e., UDL ROBOT-Rx ready medications), consistent with procedures outlined in the MAH packaging guides. * Print daily restocking/repackaging report identifying drugs/medications required to be packaged to ensure that ROBOT-Rx off-line and online inventories are at optimal levels. * Coordinate maintenance of the packaging equipment and serve as a point of contact for support. * Consult with the ROBOT-Rx Lead Technician regarding means of improving cartfill operations and general packaging services. * Monitor inventory of supplies required for the operation of the packager (i.e., bags, foil, tape etc.) and notify staff buyer of inventory supplies to be ordered. * Comply with procedures, policies and guidelines established by the ROBOT-Rx Lead Technician. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent. Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred. Business Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in hospital pharmacy or health care industry. Specialized Knowledge/Skills: Good interpersonal skills; good mathematical, analytical and organizational skills; familiar with drug nomenclature; able to work independently; goal oriented.
