THE NEED
Our client is in search of a Roadway Lighting Project Engineer to work on some of the largest and most challenging projects in the mid-Atlantic region. The successful candidate will be responsible for roadway lighting engineering and design on projects which are part of public sector transportation projects or on-call contracts. Responsibilities will include: plan production, specifications, construction management, and oversight and mentoring of design staff.

REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have a Minimum 5 years design experience and working knowledge of AASHTO and IESNA-RP-8 lighting design criteria. Experience with MSHA, MdTA, PennDOT, PA Turnpike, and VDOT standards a plus. Candidates should have solid understanding of AGI 32 and be proficient in MicroStation. Geopak, AutoCAD, and/or Visual experience is a plus. Experience modeling elevated roadways and interchanges in Geopak and AGI 32 preferred. A BSCE or BSEE is required and a P.E. is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also required. The right person will be able to prepare project work plans, project schedules and budgets and have the ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments simultaneously.
