Center Austin Medical Center Unit Description: NICU Level IIIThe Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has 61-beds. In addition to conventional ventilation, we have oscillator, high frequency and nitric oxide capabilities. We care for all infants requiring intensive care including extremely premature infants and all surgical cases (except major open-heart surgery). Our transport team is available 24/7 for any hospital requesting a transfer to our unit. The all RN staff is NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certified and many are NCC (National Certification Credentialing) certified in their area of specialty. There is a Neonatologist in house 24/7 Position Description:Under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse, and according to hospital policies and procedures, the staff nurse asesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for assigned NICU patient.  

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 
Preferred: Mininum of 1 year of NICU experience

LICENSED/CERTIFICATION: 
Required: Registered Nurse License from the State of Texas
