Scott Health & Safety/Tyco Safety Products is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manger, Industrial Product Services for our Central Zone Territory – Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota.    

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

This position will promote the sale of Scott Health and Safety products through seeking out, setting up, training, directing, assisting, and counseling the top Safety Distributors in the assigned Region. 

 

·        Provide sales and product support to Scott distributor sales and manufacturers representative teams. 

·        Establish and coordinate with the region’s distribution network Scott’s business plans inclusive of target accounts, action plans, and annual objectives. 

·        Advise distributors of price schedules, discount rates, promotional advertising programs, and potential markets. 

·        Enforce Health & Safety’s policies through Scott’s written sales and service agreements. 

·        Assist distribution in the implementation of company sales campaigns and promotional programs. 

·        Conduct product informational and training seminars with distributors’ inside/outside sales teams and customer users to alert these customers of new Scott products and changes in applicable standards, regulations, legal requirements relevant to our products.

·        Submit information from distributors and end users to assist the company in programs and product improvements to enhance Scott’s position in the marketplace as required. 

·        Submit information from distributors and end users to assist the company in resolving complaints, concerns and conferences providing liaison between distributors and customer users. 

·        Represent the Health & Safety at trade associations, industry meetings, fire schools, combat challenges and conferences providing liaison between distributors and customer users.

·        Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports or summaries to include weekly contact monthly major order pending and monthly itinerary reports. 

·        Perform within the annual regional expense budgets.

 Job Requirements:

·        Minimum two years advanced education in Business, Sales & Marketing or Industrial Safety.  A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college with a BS degree in chemistry, engineering, physics or marketing is preferred.  

·        Minimum of 3 years sales experience in the safety industry. 

·        Must have analytical aptitude, good interpersonal and communication skills, self-starter, detail oriented, positive "can-do" professional attitude and appearance, comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and services. 

·        Must be computer literate, familiar with Microsoft family of software. 

·        Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.

·        Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
