Telnet, Inc. is currently looking for strong 5 (Five) GSM Engineers with strong knowledge in optimization with  Ericsson OSS in Irvine and Simi Valley, California.  Candidates should have excellent report writing abilities, oral/written communication and presentation skills and ability to work independent of supervision.

RF Engineers will also be responsible for the optimizing cell sites/clusters, analyzing drive data, testing GSM network, improving the network stats, link budget analysis, mentoring junior engineers and project management capabilities.

 

Technical Responsibilities:

 

Monitor, analyze statistics and drive test data to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI) such as dropped calls, blocked calls, origination failures and handoff failures among others to meet departmental goals.Knowledge of OPTpcs, TEMS, Ericsson OSS, Asset, Insite, and other engineering tools. Must know how to optimize a cluster/area and improve general KPI. Must be able to work with FOPs and development Frequency Planning, Spectrum Migration and Capacity management Troubleshoot problem areas and recommend changes to improve performance Strong knowledge of Ericsson OSS (CHA, CNA, FCS etc…) Meet customer requirements to optimize GSM networks Data Analysis and propose changes Parameter testing to improve overall network and ability to make changesWork with other engineers/departments to troubleshoot worst performing sites; detailed one-by-one analysis of sites down tilts, neighbor optimization, parameter settings. Review alarms to detect and recommend possible solutions to hardware problems.

 

Qualifications:

 

• BSEE required, MSEE preferred

• Minimum 3 years as technical experience (Drive Testing experience is not counted)

• Strong familiarity with GSM/UMTS/Ericsson OSS standards

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Willingness to travel as needed (within market for site visits)
