Description: The Revenue Analyst will be a strong individual contributor for the Revenue Accounting Team within the Marketplaces Business Unit. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Marketplace Revenue and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: - Work in a cross functional role spanning Finance/Accounting, Billing Operations, IT, Advertising and the Management Reporting group. - Provide accounting support to the Marketplaces platform and non-platform revenue month-end close process by performing and validating accruals, recording revenue and/or adjustments to revenue in accordance with GAAP, preparing account reconciliations, ensuring SOX 404 compliance, and assisting in developing standard reports to ensure an efficient and effective monthly close. - Contribute to the worldwide reconciliation and analysis of transaction and other revenues for the eBay Marketplace businesses by using available system tools including SAP, Business Objects, MS Access, and advanced Excel functions. - Partner with the Domestic and International Finance organizations to understand accounting impacts arising from new business initiatives and assist with the development of new reporting and reconciliation processes as required. - Prepare audit schedules and work closely with External Auditors to ensure timely and successful audits/reviews of Marketplaces revenues. - Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve various transactions and other revenue accounting processes including reporting, data gathering, and analysis.  A successful candidate will work well in a fast paced environment, learn quickly, and possess strong revenue accounting experience. Qualifications: Candidates for this position must have 2-4 years of relevant experience which includes at least 2 years of public accounting experience, preferably Big Four audit experience. Industry experience at a global growth company is a plus. A CPA license (or licensure in process) is a must. Candidates should also possess/exhibit the following: - Strong/Current knowledge of revenue recognition GAAP regulations. - Detail oriented, well organized, with the ability to manage a variety of primary duties as well as actively contribute to new projects. Can multi-task in a dynamic environment. - Effective communication skills, including the ability to listen to the needs of others, research and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present findings as well as recommendations in both oral and written presentations.- Ability and desire to learn new skills or improve existing capabilities, particularly technology (ERP systems, data warehouse reporting tools, MS Access, advanced Excel, etc.). - Comfort with both initiating and responding to change; demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and implement process/system improvements to a known or supposed weakness is a must. - Energy and desire to thrive in a fast-paced organization. - Appreciation of the Company's corporate culture.
