Bunnies by the Bay, a unique apparel and plush baby gift item company, has an opportunity for Retail Store Manager/Assistant Manager at our “store-within-a-store” in a New York City renowned toy store.

 

Job Description

Store management leads a team of employees in outstanding 24-carrot service for which Bunnies by the Bay is known.  Store management also leads overseeing the overall operation of the store.  Other responsibilities include supervising and directing the workforce, making staffing decisions, ensuring customer satisfaction, and merchandising product within the store.  Effective communication skills are also necessary in working successfully with BBTB corporate and the host store.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service. Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping. Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock. Communicate with Bunnies by the Bay management. Communicate with host store management.

Ability to develop and train workforce, build relationships, utilize skills of workforce most appropriately Ability to merchandise and manage store operations effectively. Ability to provide outstanding customer service Ability to maintain a fair, consistent set of standards as they apply to workforce Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely Ability to maintain records and documentation pertaining to workforce Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner, and listen attentively to others Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job

 

Experience

Progressively responsible retail experience (3 yrs) Supervision (1 yr) Experience analyzing sales data College degree in business may substitute for portion of experience
