Staples’ General Managers are responsible for supporting and executing our Easy Brand Promise by:

·       Demonstrating and reinforcing the behaviors that make every shopping experience “Easy” for our customers.

·       Actively developing and maintaining a team approach in the day-to-day management of store associates.

·       Developing associates using coaching, observation and feedback tools that will result in improved performance.

·       Effectively coordinating and managing all store activities including inventory, backroom, facility maintenance, front end and money room.

·       Achieving and exceeding budgeted sales and profit goals.

The most qualified candidates for this position have the following skills and experience:

·       A minimum of 4-5 years progressively responsible store management experience in a high volume retail environment.

·       Strong leadership and team management skills.

·       Excellent communication and customer service skills.

·       Ability to drive sales in a customer service focused environment.

·       Bachelor’s degree preferred.
