Retail Dog Instructor Put your love of dogs to work in our Canine Education Program where you will deliver excellent training to our canine pet friends and their pet parents, helping them strengthen their bond! We have a great career opportunity for you to put your dog training experience to work as a PETCO Dog Trainer. Responsibilities include: • Conduct and promote obedience-training classes within assigned PETCO store(s) • Instruct owners/customers on how to train their dogs to be ""good canine citizens"" both inside and outside the home • Consult with owners/customers in solving training and behavioral issues • Help motivate owners/customers and their canines to ensure that both achieve success and satisfaction with our educational services • Assist owners/customers in selecting products needed to complete the obedience training course as well as products that will help with behavioral issues they may be experiencing Interested candidates need: • High school degree or equivalent (GED) • Experience in dog obedience and/or successful completion of PETCO obedience assessments or PETCO Obedience Instructor Program PETCO offers a fun working environment, great benefits (including medical, dental, and vision), paid time off, flexible work schedules, and an associate discount that’s good at all PETCO stores.
