Qualifications

 

Broad range of contacts in the virgin/regrind/repro resin industry.10 + years of experience in purchasing and processing Plastic Resins, PE, Styrene, PP a plus.BA or BS in a business discipline with a professional certification (CPM, CPIM) or MBA preferred.MRP ExperienceStrong PC skills with Microsoft office applications and effective analytical knowledge of purchasing systems and inventory issues.Strong analytical skills.

  

Summary

 

A Plastic Injection Molding Company is looking for a Resin Buyer/inventory control candidate who will be responsible for researching, sourcing, negotiating pricing, monitoring inventory levels and purchasing plastic resin and various components that are integrated into our assemblies, analyzing and implementing min/max inventories based on production forecasts.  Candidate will focus on improving supplier quality and lowering costs of raw materials

 

Responsibilities

 

Manage commodity contract purchases for resin.Development of a strategic procurement strategy for plastic resin.Maintain a continuous awareness of prevalent market conditions and forecast.Develop and monitor program to observe internal and external customers and suppliers.Coordinate purchasing requirements between plantsFinding low cost Regrind and Repro materials globally.
