Residential Title Examiner

Examine titles of routine to considerable complexity in accordance with company procedures and local examining practices Abstract and analyze deeds, easements, judgments, tax assessments, mineral reservations, and other applicable filings Compile preliminary report from searched data for underwriting department as basis of commitment Respond to various requests regarding status of legal title and insurability of title File unrecorded documents, making sure fees are correct and documents are properly recorded Compile information from city, county, and other public records to update company files, logs, and indexes

Minimum Qualifications

Overtime required as needed Analytical ability sufficient to perform research and document review Ability to locate and accurately compile and interpret information affecting status of title to real property Ability to work effectively with others and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to work within established time frames Ability to operate a personal computer and use Microsoft® Office software and Internet Explorer as well as computer peripherals, typewriter, and microfilm and duplicating equipment
