The Research Navigator will be a staff member of the Preventing Recurrence of Thromboembolic Events through Coordinated Treatment in the District of Columbia (PROTECT DC) project. PROTECT DC is an NIH-funded research project that is part of the larger Stroke Disparities Program. The Research Navigator will carry out a variety of duties primarily under the supervision of the Clinical Research Coordinator. The incumbent will provide education to stroke patients during their in-hospital stay as well as in the community setting.
Qualifications
Associate Degree/Bachelors Degree Preferred
Previous work/volunteer experience with a community based/grassroots type organization
Interest in research and health education highly desired
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Has familiarity with the DC area
