Technic Inc. is seeking Research and Development Chemists for its Cranston, Rhode Island and Plainview, New York R&D laboratories.  Technic is a privately owned, U.S. specialty chemical company with worldwide offices and laboratories.  Further details are available at www.technic.com.

Qualified candidates will perform formulation and product characterization research for specialty electronic materials.  The chosen individuals will work with a multi-disciplinary team of research scientists and technicians and will interface with global product marketing staff to satisfy new product development requirements.  The entrepreneurial and flexible work environment requires the individual to be self-motivated, team oriented, yet able to work independently, willing to travel worldwide, and be able to apply technical knowledge to complex problem solving situations.

The credentials for qualified candidates include a minimum B.S. degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related discipline and 1 to 5 years of progressive chemical product development experience.  Prior experience in electrochemistry and/or electroplating systems is highly desirable.  Solid interpersonal skills are essential in this position.  Asian language skills are a plus.  There is definite potential for upward mobility within the organization.
