In this role, you will be responsible for data collection and analysis and some project management for the research project "Teacher Labs to Foster Minority Student Bioscience Inquiry," part of the new National Institutes of Health-funded Minority K-12 Initiative for Teachers and Students (MKITS) Program. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with the collection, tracking, coding, and analysis of quantitative teacher and student data Organizing and maintaining existing databases Working with the project team to design and execute analyses and to complete evaluation research reports Working with the project team to administer student and teacher pre/post-tests and surveys Providing project management and logistical support for conducting teacher professional development courses Acting as liaison with teachers and schools Implementing and managing the technical support structure Conducting literature reviewsWhat You'll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Learning Sciences or related field 2 years of related research experience Demonstrated knowledge of research procedures and statistical methods, particularly with regression techniques Demonstrated proficiency with statistical software (SPSS or SAS) and database software programs Experience with teacher professional development would be an asset Ability to travel to off-site locations that may not be accessible via public transportationInterested candidates may
