The individual will work closely in a team based environment with biologists and chemists to support the development of novel therapies to treat human cancer. The Associate Scientist will use cutting-edge molecular, biochemical, and cellular biology techniques to support the discovery and development of novel cancer therapies.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess a B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field with 2 or more years of experience. The candidates must be familiar with basic molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell culture techniques, such as plasmid construction, gene mutations, PCR analysis, mammalian cell transfections, biochemical assay development, and enzyme kinetics. Candidates should have experience applying biochemical and cell based assay techniques to support drug discovery efforts.

As a vital contributor to the Oncology team, the Associate Scientist must be comfortable interfacing with other technical areas and departments. An ability to design experiments and analyze data is required. He /she will have the opportunity to engage in dynamic scientific discussions, presenting data to internal project teams. Thus the candidate will need to be an excellent communicator and have solid interpersonal skills.
