Research Associate – RREEF
The Research Associate will be joining a small, dynamic team covering alternative investments globally. Alternative investments include infrastructure, private equity and real estate. Essential responsibilities include:
Provide and analyze global data on economics, financial markets, and alternative investment sectors.
Track the performance of alternative investments vs. traditional asset classes.
Create compelling charts and graphs.
Collaborate on publications and presentations.
Serve as a resource for other internal teams as well as for clients.
"Wear a lot of hats" and multitask effectively.
Keep abreast of the current economic situation and investment market environment.
This is a position with a lot of opportunity to grow and take on new challenges with time.
San Francisco or New York location (flexible).
Experience Required:
The successful candidate will have a strong quantitative and writing background and at least 2 years of experience in a research capacity. Past work experience could include economic or policy analysis, real estate research, or a similar field. Past research experience focused outside of the US is a plus.
A bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering or a related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred. Proficiency in Excel is a must, with a strong preference for experience writing macros and/or programming statistical software like E-Views. Finally, the successful candidate will be self-directed, creative, and able to perform challenging work independently.
