The Company

Our client is a dynamic, entrepreneurial engineering development and manufacturing company focused on solving unique customer problems.  They are the leaders in the design and development of tethered and manned airships, high-tech aerospace, and defense.  They have been active in the design and development of products for both government and industry. Most of this company’s products are comprised of soft goods materials - products that are flexible by nature and result in innovative solutions to customer problems.

 

The Position

Our client is seeking a “temp to perm” Reliability/Quality Engineer to provide quality engineering and support to all functional areas throughout the company.  This engineer will assure that product quality meets the established program criteria through design, development, and production.  The Engineer will also analyze projected product utilization and calculate cumulative effect on the system reliability of individual parts. The Engineer will advise and confer with other engineers in design review meetings to give reliability findings and recommendations, determines units requiring environmental testing, and specify minimum numbers of samples to obtain statistically valid data. The Reliability/Quality Engineer will also identify supplier requirements needed to purchase components, provide technical assistance in resolution of supplier quality or process problems, and review engineering specifications and drawings to propose design modifications to that improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements.

 

Candidate Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have a BS in Engineering (or related technical discipline), plus 10+ years of experience in quality and/or reliability engineering.  In addition, candidates should have:

•        Technical and professional engineering knowledge

•        Decision making ability

•        Teamwork skills

•        Quality orientation ability

•        Experience with information monitoring

•        Customer focus

 

Compensation:

Our client offers an attractive hourly compensation commensurate with experience for this “temp to perm” position.  Temporary employment compensation does not include benefits; however, if the hired individual becomes a permanent employee, a full benefits package will be available.

 

Location

Our client is located in a highly desirable location in Delaware.  It is close to the Atlantic shore and within comfortable driving distance to New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC.
