One of the leading chemical companies in the world is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer for their chemical manufacturing plant with a highly profitable product line.  Our client has an advantaged feedstock position to support their chemicals operations and is currently developing long-range business plans for the year 2020.

JOB DESCRIPTION

§         Provide technical support, leadership, and supervision in the areas of maintenance and reliability engineering in a way that maximizes safety, reliability, and uptime while minimizing operating and maintenance costs.

§         Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and contractors engaged in repairing and maintaining equipment in their chemical manufacturing plant.

§         Review engineering specifications, drawings, and proposed design modifications to continually improve the reliability at the site.

§         Champion for the maintenance work processes such as: work identification, planning, scheduling, execution, and auditing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

§         Provide day-to-day leadership for safe operations of the maintenance organization.

§         Conduct annual performance reviews and provide on-going discussions, coaching, counseling, and ensure that objectives are met.

§         Plan and manage manpower requirements to support the sites needs and the needs of the business.

§         Provide and promote site safety processes and conform to all OHSA and Environmental regulations.

§         Manage and lead continuous reliability/maintenance improvement efforts.

§         Comply with all Process Safety management (PSM) and ISO requirements, which include maintaining proper documentation.

§         Be available during off-hours for troubleshooting and problem resolution.

§         Serve as a key resource for site emergencies or emergencies breakdown situations to support the site.

§         Tracks standard manufacturing measures and priorities plant maintenance.

§         Implements process enhancements to improve planning & scheduling of maintenance.

§         Developing and implementing plans to reduce breakdowns, improve planned maintenance, optimize scheduled maintenance, and effectively execute equipment outages.

§         Builds capacity of maintenance mechanics

QUALIFICATIONS

§         BS in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering discipline

§         5 to 10 years of experience in maintenance/reliability engineering

§         5 or more years maintenance supervision functions in a chemical manufacturing plant

§         Commitment to and knowledge of EHS, OHSA, Quality/HR policies, practices, and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

§         Knowledge of maintenance management systems (work order systems –EMPAC a plus, planning and scheduling fundamentals).

§         Safety-minded professional with demonstrated skills and accomplishments in reliability improvement and implementing the latest maintenance technologies for equipment servicing.

§         Work as a team player in a high performance team environment

§         Solve problems, trouble-shoot maintenance issues, facilitate change, and apply conflict resolution
