1. Establish and maintain business relationships
a. Understand market that referral serves
b. Work as an integral part of the organizational team (LCMP, patient and ASM)
c. Develop programs that best serve the needs of each referral source
d. Continue to reinforce and strengthen relationship with referral source by asking how ASM can better serve their patients.
e. Educate on insurance requirements and what we may need from them

2. Facilitate communication
a. Coordinate contact between customers, LCMPs and caregivers
b. Assist in making appointments for doctors and therapists
c. Empathize and suggest, don’t tell and demand

3. Promptly schedule appointments
a. with customers
b. schedule customers for f2fs and therapy visits
c. set a projected timeline for the order and delivery process
d. be on time for appointments

4. With LCMPs, assess for and recommend appropriate mobility and seating
a. when possible, be present at mat assessment
b. assess current equipment
c. identify what is working and not working with current equipment
d. set goals for the new equipment, i.e., better posture, increased comfort and function
e. suggest equipment options taking into consideration the desires and needs of the customer

5. Obtain quotes from mfrs asap
a. call to get quotes while the eval is fresh in your mind
b. review and confirm that quote is correct
c. correct quotes as soon as an error is discovered

6. Explain the process for obtaining documentation to LCMPs, patients and caregivers
a. From first contact with customer and LCMPs, ensure that everyone is on the same page with what is necessary to work with specific payers.
b. Throughout the process, explain what is still needed and how to obtain what is needed
c. Keep customers and therapists informed (hopefully office staff help with this)

7. Maintain RESNA certification
a. obtain a minimum of 1 CEU annually
b. check RESNA.org for new certification requirements
c. Abide by the RESNA Code of Ethics
d. Remain current on technology

8. Always do the right thing
a. Be compliant with all corporate, state and federal guidelines
b. Commit to constant improvement of self and company
c. ensure that your customer is fully satisfied
d. train each customer and caregiver completely on the use and maintenance of provided equipment

9. Follow up on deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction
a. call customers within one week of delivery
b. adjust and program chairs for individual use and preference
c. explain service and maintenance
d. ensure that customer knows how to operate equipment completely and safely.

10. Forward all documents to office staff asap
a. prescriptions
b. assessment forms
c. quote
d. signed medical release
e. signed delivery tickets
