JOB DESCRIPTION:
Due to recent growth & expansion, we are seeking 2 Regulatory Scientists.
The Regulatory Scientist is responsible for the regulatory compliance aspects of ingredients and products. For ingredients, this involves review of the composition, allergens, nutrition information and compliance with FDA regulations. For products, this includes development of ingredient statements, creation of Nutrition Facts panels, validation of nutrition and ingredient claims, calculation of diet exchanges, flavor labeling, package label graphics review, etc. Data for ingredients and products should be managed via a Nutrition & Regulatory database system. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. degree in Nutrition, Food Science or related combination of technical degrees and Food Regulatory experience. Experience in the food industry strongly preferred Demonstrated expertise in FDA regulations for food labeling and nutrition and health claims Strong knowledge of nutrition/labeling databases Detail oriented Strong organizational skills Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to stay current on regulatory changes
