Registered Nursing Program - Director of Nursing 

Western Career College, Sacramento Campus

An excellent opportunity exists for a collaborative, visionary nurse educator to serve as the Program Director for the Registered Nursing Program at the Western Career College, Sacramento Campus.  This program will prepare students for eligibility to sit for the examination and to be licensed as a RN professional. 

Responsibilities:

·         On-going development and management of all aspects of the program.

·         Academic planning and program evaluation.

·         Curriculum management.

·         Preparation for site visits from accrediting agencies.

·         Preparation of reports and self-studies for the institutional accrediting agency.

·         Faculty recruitment, development, evaluation, and mentoring.

·         Clinical site development.

·         Strong working relationships with federal, state and local constituencies, accrediting bodies, nursing boards, clinical site personnel, students, and alumni.

 Qualifications:

A Master's or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing, education or administration;A minimum of one year's experience in an administrative position;A minimum of two years' experience teaching in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs;At least one year's experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care; or equivalent experience and/or education, as determined by the board.Currently licensed RN or eligible for RN in CAStrong verbal and writing skills and computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
