MUSC Medical Center is currently seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) at the brand new Ashley River Tower!

The new Ashley River Tower has opened at the Medical University of South Carolina Medical Center in Charleston, SC. The 156-bed facility specializes in cardiovascular disease, digestive disease and surgical oncology, and includes an ICU, operating rooms, laboratories, interventional radiology and endoscopy suites, and a specialized chest pain center.

All patient rooms are private and feature a private bathroom, recessed lighting and finished maple doors and headboard. Warm colors, sun-filled windows and comfortable seating help create a healing environment.

All caregiver stations were designed to be fully accessible to patients and families while incorporating modern healthcare technology. In addition to the main caregiver stations, every pair of patient rooms includes a dedicated work alcove for healthcare staff.

Each patient floor in the tower includes a waiting area for families. Large dayrooms give family members a place to relax and reflect. Separate corridors for staff and visitors ensure smooth traffic throughout Ashley River Tower, and also promote patient privacy.

This position does require Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and one year experience as a registered nurse. Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing. Requires certification in Basic Life Support prior to the completion of general orientation. Some positions require certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
