THERAPEUTIC AREA – Oncology is preferred.

 

DESCRIPTION

This is a regional home based role where Senior/Clinical Research Associates are responsible for monitoring of clinical trials designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of new therapeutic agents and the scientific review and analysis of clinical data and the preparation of scientific documents. You will travel in a designated regional clinical study site to assure adherence to Good Clinical Practices, SOPs, and study protocols. You will review regulatory documents as required and prepare site visit reports. You may be responsible for multiple projects and must work well both independently and in a team environment. You may be asked to participate in the study development and start-up process including reviewing protocols, designing and/or reviewing CRFs, preparing informed consent forms, developing study documents, organizing and presenting at investigator meetings, working with management on monitoring strategies, and you could be asked to be involved in project specific CRA training. You will be invited to participate in clinical training programs and maintain awareness of developments in the field of clinical research.

 

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree or RN complemented by a minimum of a least 12 MONTHS experience as a field monitor in a CRO, Pharma or Biotech. You must have field monitoring experience where you are traveling to sites and independently monitoring clinical studies. Oncology experience is highly preferred. You will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and pathophysiology, a working knowledge of GCP, strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor and appearance, diplomacy skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

 

EXPECTED TRAVEL

The ability to travel is necessary. Typically the region is 3 states depending on how close you are to a major metropolitan area with 2 overnights per week on average.

 

LOCATION

This is a regional home based role with locations in Indiana, Ohio and Illinois. Relocation assistance is not available. You must live near a major airport hub or have reasonable access to one.

 

COMPENSATION

Compensation is competitive and includes a base salary range to $100K DOE as well as a comprehensive benefits package including vacation, bonus, and biannual salary considerations as well as a matching 401K program.
