A privately owned, 60 million dollar company, growing at a rate of over 60% a year, who markets high quality Diagnostic Laboratory Services, is currently in need of a Regional Sales Manager.  The successful candidate will manage 8 or more Territory Managers.   This is an exciting opportunity for the qualified individual.  Join a company that is experiencing  rapid growth.

 

The territory includes Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 

Ø      Attains division sales goals.

Ø      Works with all sales representatives on a regular schedule 

Ø      Provides training, coaching and direction to achieve territory sales skills.

Ø      Works to improve sales representative sales skills.

Ø      Ensure proper sales representative territory coverage, account penetration, and sales time allocation to emphasis products.

Ø      Manages cross-selling opportunities within the division.

Ø      Promotes team-selling approach among sales representatives.

Ø      Conducts job performance evaluations as directed and outlines individual development plans for each sales representative.

Ø      Identifies individuals demonstrating leadership traits needed for management and works with the Director of Sales to devise additional developmental activities.

Ø      Identifies individuals who do not consistently meet company standards and/or adhere to policies and procedures and works with the Director of Sales on corrective action.

Ø      Handles all divisional administrative duties in a timely and accurate manner.

Ø      Ensures that sales representatives meet their administrative responsibilities. .

Ø      Strives to improve the quality of sales representatives in the division. .

Ø      Maintain good relations with key customers throughout the division.

Ø      Builds relationships with key decision makers and thought leaders throughout the division.

 

 

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Ø      College degree (BA or BS, Business preferred)

Ø      A minimum of three years outside sales experience

Ø      Minimum of three years of successful supervisory/management experience (eight sales representatives are currently reporting to this position)

Ø      Proven ability to interact effectively with both internal and external customers, demonstrable interpersonal skills

Ø      Experience selling Diagnostic Services or lab services to hospitals and doctors or experience selling to Dermatologists, Urologists, OB-Gyns or Gastroenterologists a real plus!
