A software, data migration, and quality assurance company specializing in content-intensive and regulated business environments is seeking a REGIONAL SALES MANAGER for their New Jersey headquarters.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage a consultative, end-to-end sales process entailing prospecting, requirements definition, solution development/presentation, business justification, and closure
• Prospect and identify enterprise sales opportunities
• Conduct product demonstrations, write business proposals, coordinate sales activities across customer organizations, respond to technical and product inquiries, and effectively manage the closing process
• Obtain a detailed understanding of industry characteristics and competitive products
• Perform operational assessments to identify and evaluate a prospective clients' business objectives and how the customer will solve them
• Manage accounts in order to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
• Maintain a current contact database and reporting of sales activities and performance goals
• Participate in product development and customer service initiatives on a selective basis, communicating the needs of customers and the marketplace
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5 to 10 years quota achieving experience selling complex enterprise applications and/or business solutions
• Content Management experience a big plus (Documentum)
• Start-up experience in a sales role a big plus
• Computer literacy required
• Meeting quota for at least 3 of the past 5 years of $2.0M per year or more
• Previous work experience in enterprise applications software companies such as Documentum, Oracle, SAP or other large enterprise software company or a start-up that has delivered a new solution – entrepreneurial focused mind set is necessary
• Areas of expertise and past experiences in a sales role include Content Management, Knowledge Management and Product Life Cycle Management
• Sales experience within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Medical Device arenas is required
• Demonstrated success in prospecting and identifying enterprise sales opportunities
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to present software products to senior executives, operational managers, and technical and non-technical staff
• Highly motivated self starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Entrepreneurial mentality; can make things happen with limited financial/personnel resources
• Impeccable integrity
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; track record is more important.
