Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Development and implementation of strategic territory sales and marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives by meeting or exceeding established annual sales and trade margin objectives.
· Development and direction of territory sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
· Review and analysis of sales performance against programs, quotas and plans to determine effectiveness.
· Meet with key customers, assisting sales representative with developing and maintaining client relationships and closing deals.
· Build, develop, mentor and direct staff, including recruitment, selection and development of sales team in order to achieve sales goals.
· Establish accountability among sales professionals for achievement of plan and management of sales professionals to agreed upon standards
· Develop and monitor employee sales and marketing training and development programs
· Develop a strong working relationship with merchandising management to effectively support merchandising and inventory plans
· Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities
· Proficient in understanding the various dealer programs and promoting their use to the dealer base.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong business acumen in analyzing top-line growth, gross profit expectations and productivity leveraged with fixed budget constraints.
· Ability to develop, mentor and coach sales team and create a challenging, motivating environment in order to drive business and profitability.
· Strong communication, problem solving and negotiation skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and MS Suite of applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Education and/or Experience:
· Three to five years of progressive sales, marketing and managerial responsibilities.
· Four year degree in Business Administration, Finance or similar field.
· Advanced degree is a plus.
