Regional Engineering Manager - Forensic Civil - Architectural Engineer - PE - Professional Engineer
Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Mechanical Director of Engineering

Do you have 5+ years of experience as a Regional Manager as a Civil Engineer or Forensic Engineer for institutional, healthcare, high-rise and governmental facilities managing and documenting federal or similar projects? If so read on ...

We are a national cost and forensic engineering consulting firm recognized as one of the leading cost management firms in the nation.

What you need to be qualified for this position

* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering.
* PE license is a must.
* Experience in commercial, institutional, healthcare, high-rise and governmental facilities is required.
* Supervisory/management experience preferably managing a staff of 5+ professionals.
* 5+ year's practical experience with a proven supervisory track record.
* Forensic field or insurance industry background is a plus.
* Must be willing to travel as necessary for natural disasters or catastrophes such as hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes etc.

What you will be doing:

* This is a hands-on working manager position where you will provide residential and commercial site investigations to determine the cause and origin of structural failures, damages or defects.
* Investigate and assess damages due to catastrophes such as windstorm damage, hurricanes, floods and earthquakes.
* Provide the necessary technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to the forensic engineering staff of Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineers in your region
* Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
* Maintain existing client relationships as well as new business development.
* Meeting divisional marketing goals, revenue projections and client expectations.
* Provide detailed reports outlining the cause and origin of the damages to clients.
* You will have client interaction on a regular basis.
* You may also be called upon to provide expert testimony in a court of law.
