CITY: Fairfield STATE: Connecticut COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities): Coordinate implementation of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and crisis management (CM) programs for all Corporate sites located in Headquarters region to ensure full compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. * Drive and manage all corporate EHS and CM programs and processes at multiple sites. * Support and mentor all EHS Coordinators implementing compliance, framework and VPP sustainability and VPP efforts at sites. * Arrange and conduct compliance and framework audits and reviews necessary to meet company, federal, state, and local compliance requirements to reduce risk liability. * Lead the simplification of EHS and CM programs and processes. * Manage EHS and CM projects to ensure compliance with goals, objectives and required metrics, planning and scheduling deadlines, budget requirements, and proper reporting and documentation management. * Ensure that major construction projects are designed and implemented in line with Corporate construction safety programs. * Support EHS due diligence in accordance with real estate initiatives, as applicable (i.e., lease exits, renewals, etc.) * Direct remedial activities and projects at onsite facilities, as applicable. * Work in cooperation and conjunction with all other EHS Regional Leaders, Corporate Program Teams as well GE businesses EHS and CM teams to benchmark, communicate, and implement improvements and Best Practices * Responsible for all quarterly and annual reporting of metrics, program successes, issues and gaps as well as all action plans to address gaps and ensure improvement * Ensure the sustainability of VPP certification for the Fairfield site; provide support for the VPP certification and sustainability for the Crotonville site Qualifications/Requirements: YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT * University Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related science, OR equivalent combination of education and experience. * Minimum 5 years professional experience in EHS or CM leadership or related position. * In-depth EHS knowledge of U.S. regulatory programs and GE management systems and requirements. * Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and presentation skills. . * Demonstrated ability to develop and achieve measurable goals. * Ability to organize and focus teams, tasks and requests. * Thorough understanding of Facilities/Property Management and its inter-relationship with EHS & SCM.
