We currently have an opening as Regional Account Manager - Arizona.

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for the development, management, and growth of key regional accounts to achieve/exceed sales goals, build business and brand loyalty, and develop wide and deep relationships including senior executives within their assigned accounts.

They are accountable for managing business retail activities including product distribution and stocking; inventory management; accurate forecasting; marketing, advertising, and promotional programs designed to improve sales velocities; and development of strategic business plans to grow market share and profitability to all of their trade/retail accounts. This includes drug wholesalers, retail chain pharmacies, mass merchandisers, food/drug and the regional offices of national chains.

Strategic account management is essential including the identification, analysis, and prioritization of accounts. This includes the evaluation of competitive activity, identification of key opportunities, resource allocation, overall business plan development, and in depth account knowledge of their goals, strategies, and time cycles.

Create, implement, and manage plans and promotions for optimal return on sales, product recommendation, and brand loyalty. Promotional programs should be customized to meet the needs of the individual customer.

Effectively utilize all available resources, including promotional and marketing funds.

Additional activities and responsibilities include coordinating activities and sharing of resources with Bayer Consumer Care to capitalize on all Bayer products in the marketplace. The ability to communicate effectively, consult and collaborate with cross divisional teams; including marketing, managed markets, health care professional and retail sales forces, including management.

The Regional Account Manager will report directly to the Area Trade Sales Manager.

Field position to be based in S. California or Phoenix areas.

Specific Skills Required:

5 – 8 Years with prior trade experience preferred. A minimum of 3 years experience directly related to regional retailers and drug wholesalers.

The incumbent must be highly organized and skilled in strategic thinking. They should have a working knowledge and experience with retail trade account management, familiarity and experience in executing a complex sale, and development of strategic business planning. They will have strong to superior skills in negotiation, excellent presentation and relationship management skills, and complex decision making capability. They will show initiative, tenacity, and have strong oral and written communication skills. They will have a track record of superior sales performance. Computer literacy a must.

Education: Bachelor's Degree; Life Sciences, Business.

Job Related Experience: 3 - 6 years.
