Position Description:
Direct to RVP; dotted line to Sr. VP Sales & Marketing. Drive overall Region sales performance for all lines of business including contractor supplies by providing sales strategy, leadership, tools, and coordination in partnership with the RVPs, DMs and BMs. The RSMM will assist in developing the Region's sales strategy and will be actively engaged in implementing that strategy and providing leadership, creativity and resources to achieve and exceed the Region's sales goals. Reporting to the RVP, the RSMM will ensure that corporate sales and marketing initiatives and objectives are fully aligned with those of the Region. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (1)Implement Region/Corporate sales strategy to increase market share for all our product and service offerings, expand existing business relationships, and coordinate District/branch sales activities within the assigned Region (a)Partner with region finance team including RC, RFM and Analysts to evaluate sales results and identify improvement opportunities (b)Identify sales and marketing opportunities for Contractor Supplies, working with Product Managers and Distribution Centers (c)Provide guidance on territory management and drive territory penetration, in conjunction with DMs/BMs; suggest sales rep additions or realignment if necessary (d)Provide coaching and guidance to underperforming sales reps as needed; suggest ways to improve sales rep performance (e)Assist in recruitment, training and development of sales reps, with Region HRM and Training Manager, using Sales Playbook and other tools (f)Develop sales contests that reward and recognize sales reps and drive sales performance. (2)Work together with District and Branch Managers, Contractor Supplies Product Managers, and other management staff, to identify new product opportunities; develop new markets, to understand market trends, competition and other matters affecting the region's profitability. (3)Develop strategies for sales promotions, blitzes, open houses, grand openings, and other customer relationship building events which drive revenue and profitability, and implement those strategies with DMs/BMs. Work closely with corporate Director of Marketing to ensure consistent branding. (4)Support DMs/BMs and sales reps with collateral marketing and promotional materials, in conjunction with corporate Director of Marketing; foster consistent branding and UR message to our customer base. (5)Strategize and implement, with corporate sales, sales rep tools such as Dodge, Ingenium, and others as necessary which better enable sales reps to drive revenue.

Qualifications:
(1)Bachelor's Degree. (2)Successful outside sales, sales management or management experience, with a strong customer focus. (3)Other Skills Required: (a)Strong influencing, leadership, negotiation, presentation and communication skills (b)Independent worker and self starter (c)Basic Microsoft office skills for reporting purposes; Knowledge of Dodge reports and other technology sources for sales reps.
