Our client, a Dutch based company with an office in Arlington, VA, is looking for a Project Controller. This individual will be the liaison between the Netherlands office and the US office focusing on the financial activities related to real estate development and financing. The Project Controller will manage the loans in the portfolio. The core activities are as follows: 1) Performing analytical, advisory and control activities with regard to the projects. 2) Identifying and reporting on risks in the projects. 3) Consulting with account managers about the status of the portfolio and giving, upon request and voluntarily, a second opinion regarding a prospective client or loan. 4) Communicating with the client about the financing agreement and making concessions subject to approval by the Manager. 5) Conducting negotiations about the engagement of external bureaus regarding building status and valuations. 6) Analyze budget provided by the clients. 7) Review all loans. Qualified candidates will have a BS in accounting or finance, with 5+ years of real estate accounting experience, experience working with lenders, a solid understanding for loan draws, ability to put the proformas together and prior experience negotiating with lenders.
