The time is right to join HNTB Corporation. We are a national transportation infrastructure firm that offers extensive design, engineering and planning services to federal, state, and local public and private clients. HNTB's talented and dedicated professionals provide design, planning, and construction management expertise that exceed expectations. We are seeking candidates for the Inspector III position in our San Jose office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily inspection of railroad signal construction work to ensure that the project construction complies with plans and specifications and the client's interests are protected on moderately complex assignments normally related to multiple and/or medium to large projects. Maintains daily logs of inspection work and reviews discrepancies or changes with Field Engineer. Records daily diaries of work performed and staff equipment utilized. Performs quality assurance, monitors work of contractors. Keeps superiors advised of problem areas. Sees that work conforms with plans and specifications. Performs complicated mathematical calculations. Qualifications Qualifications: High school diploma or GED plus 5 year experience specialized in railroad signal inspection or equivalent related experience. Candidate must possess strong work ethic and must demonstrate good organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done. Candidate must have the ability to operate a standard personal computer as well as knowledge of and experience with standard office computer software.
