Sensis Corporation, Defense and Security Systems, is seeking an experienced Radar System Engineer for an existing ground and sea based multi-mission radar system. The successful candidate will provide support to Marketing in business development activities within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) customers. This will include discussion of modifications of the radar to meet new customer requirements and/or enhanced capabilities. Candidates must possess experience in the design, development, test and operation of radar systems, as well as well developed interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Support to Marketing/Business Development in customer presentations/briefings - Specification (PS, HRS, SRS, IRS) modifications - Requirements Analysis - Simulations, Trades & Analysis - Algorithm development and/or modification of existing algorithms - Functional Allocation - System Design Methodologies - Test support and execution, as necessary - Support SW & HW development teams reviewing design and test documents (i.e. HDD, SDD, PTD). - Maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) - Support SW design, fabrication, test and integration activity - Support component/sub-system integration and test activity - Support development of integration and test plans - Data and Performance Analysis - Strong programming skills in MATLAB - Perform data analysis, prepare briefings and write reports - Communicate clearly and in a timely manner (both written and orally) to the team and customer. - Prepare for and conduct Technical Interchange Meetings and Design Reviews Education Required: BS (MS preferred) in Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related technical field Experience Required: - 5+ years radar system design/development experience - 10+ years System Engineering experience with complex military electronics systems - DoD experience is a plus Expertise Required: - Knowledge of radar systems - Experience with computer communication (data distribution in various formats and protocols) - Experience in performance analysis, systems specifications preparation, processing architecture definition and requirements allocation. - Experience with MATLAB - Ability to read/understand C/C++ and Ada code - Familiarity with Microsoft tools and Microsoft Windows - Experience with CM and Requirements Management systems - Strong written and oral communication skills - Working knowledge of Object Oriented Software Design methods and Design Patterns. - Understanding of FORTRAN, C/C++, ADA (for interfacing with legacy code) Desired Skills: - Strong leadership, communication, planning, motivational and teamwork skills - Experience establishing plans, tracking projects, assessing program progress and productivity - Demonstrated ability to make clear technical presentations (oral or written) to the Customer - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of organizational teams that have varying levels of technical knowledge - Ability to mentor, coach and motivate team members to achieve their full potential. - Results oriented - Excellent analytical and problem determination skills combined with the proven ability to envision solutions and manage both technology and people through to successful project completion - Candidates should be able to respect the opinions, contributions and values of other team members and make timely decisions when conflicts arise - Sound science/engineering background - Established aptitude and fluency in technology fields. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, persuasion, and organizational skills - Clear focus under pressure - Proven track record of surpassing objectives and delivering exceptional results, despite challenges - High standards of quality - Motivated high energy contributor.
