Commercial Vehicle Group, a recognized leader in commercial vehicle solutions for the commercial, industrial, municipal, construction, agricultural and marine industries is currently recruiting for a Quality Manager at our Michigan City, IN location. Our Michigan City location designs and manufactures Sprague Devices brand of application specific windshield wiper systems for all segments of the commercial vehicle market.

The Quality Manager is responsible for the development and supervision of a prevention oriented quality control system to assure those products shipped meet the required standards.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Developing Quality management policies and procedures.Supervising and directing the activities of the Quality Department.Developing Cost of Quality objectives and implementing programs to achieve themDeveloping, recommending, and implementing inspection and analysis techniques, quality and process control procedures and audit plans to ensure specifications and standards are met.Assisting in diagnosing manufacturing/quality problems and establishing corrective action programs for defect and failure prevention.Working with suppliers for quality/cost improvement, lead time/inventory reductions.Ensuring that a Quality System in established, implemented and maintained in accordance with TS16949 and ISO14001 standards.Initiating/recommending/requiring system corrective actions which will prevent non-conformities in product, process and system.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Quality Manager is a key voice on the plant management team. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree (technical or business related degree preferred) and 10 years experience in quality control or related field with at least 3 years at the general supervisory level. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, statistics, TS16949 or QS9000 series required.
