Quality Assurance Engineer - Senior 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ability to develop and maintain the systems necessary to ensure continued improvement and compliance to AS9100.Ability to develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in Quality Management Systems.Provide quality assurance oversight of supplier management processes; assist in the selection of suppliers; work in conjunction with Purchasing as needed to ensure successful business relationships; maintain supplier records.Ability to devise sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.Ensure that methods used in measuring, testing, validation, and tabulating data concerning quality assurance are compliant with current industry standards.Compile and write training materials and conduct training sessions on quality assurance activities.Lead and actively participate in both the Internal and External Auditing functions.Perform technical root cause investigations on quality related problems, methods and equipment.Ability to interface with customer representatives and act as a liaison for quality related matters.Ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks.

 

Necessary Skill:

·         Above average Skills in the use of measuring devices.

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·         Capable of interpreting engineering drawings and technical data.

·         Wide degree of creativity and latitude expected.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

BS degree in engineering/science.Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in the aviation or aerospace industry.Must have experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Systems.Demonstrated working knowledge of and experience in effective supplier management.Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.Capable of interpreting engineering drawings and technical data.Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
