WEBCO, a leading designer and manufacturer of custom air handling and air conditioning equipment for industrial, institutional and commercial customers, is seeking a QA/DFT Manager to work in Springfield, MO.

Position Summary:      Develop, maintain, and communicate quality policies, procedures and work instructions.  Coordinate the successful implementation of Demand Flow Technology (DFT) as the business strategy within the entire company, and following implementation ensure absolute compliance to DFT principles. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Develop and maintain processes and metrics for capturing and reporting quality-related qualitative and quantitative data.

·         Supervise and ensure document control process integrity.

·         Perform root cause analysis to determine solutions to quality issues.

·         Provide recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities.

·         Work with production and other departments to implement immediate and long term solutions to quality issues.

·         Provide quality system related training and guidance to all employees when necessary.

·         Compile, coordinate and report DFT progress and results through audits and performance measures to ensure compliance with DFT principles and objectives.

·         Consult, facilitate, and/or manage DFT Implementation teams and projects.

·         Coordinate and/or conduct required DFT related training for all employees.

·         Sit on Steering Committee to establish priorities for DFT improvements to derive benefit from applying DFT principles.

·         Serve as liaison with the Nortek DFT office and other CES businesses on DFT issues.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree; or the equivalent.  Masters Degree preferred.

·         Five to eight years of management experience.

·         Six Sigma, 5S, ISO, and Flow Manufacturing experiences preferred.

·         Green Belt or Black Belt Certification a plus.

 

Skills and Abilities:

·         Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

·         Ability to work independently and display creativity, exercises sound judgment, demonstrates initiative, and possesses excellent written and oral communication skills.

·         Prioritize, schedule and manage to completion many projects and tasks at a time. 

·         Strong leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, and project management skills.

·         Ability to work across all management levels and foster cooperation across departments.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel statistical functions charting, and graphing.
