JOB DESCRIPTION

 

JOB TITLE:              Quality Assurance Technician (Quarantine)

 

DEPARTMENT:       Quality Assurance

 

REPORTS TO:          Quality Assurance Manager

 

GRADE:

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·        Perform  inspection and sampling of incoming raw materials and retest materials for delivery to the Quality Control Laboratory according to established Nexgen standard procedures.

·        Complete raw material receipt records, ensure proper labeling of raw material containers, execute release or other disposition of raw materials, and operation and maintenance of the sampling chamber in accordance with standard operating procedures.

·        Author standard operating procedures related to Quarantine area and operations.

 

ASSOCIATED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·        Assist management in preparation for internal, customer and agency audits.

·        Other related duties as required.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·        Ability to analyze information, promote process improvement, basic math skill.

·         The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED.

·        Ability to routinely lift and move up to 50 pounds.

·        Able to stand for long periods of time.

·        1 + years experience in a similar role.

·        General computer knowledge including familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet applications.

·        Experience with manufacturing processes highly desirable.

·        Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

·        Strong attention to detail.
