SMART seeks a Senior Manager, an experienced Management Consulting Executive, to help lead the public services practice in Chicago. This candidate will be someone who has developed and managed advisory and technology work for local, county or regional governments in Illinois market.  One who knows and understands core technologies used within city, state, or other regional authorities is mandatory.  Actual working experience in a state, local, county or regional government is an added plus.

Minimum 10 years of Engagement Management and Execution experience in an IT / Business Process role required. Documented sales and/or delivery history in public sector.  Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable.  Prior experience in Public Sector ERP, systems implementation, PMO Office desirable.  Prior experience in Management and IT Consulting, preferably in a large consulting firm environment.  Experience working in Higher Education or large not-for-profit organizations a plus.  Good understanding of operations of government agencies and public policies specifically at the state and local level.  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.  Bachelors Degree required; Master’s Degree in Business, Technology, or Public Policy / Administration preferred. Authorization required to work in the US; SMART will not offer visa sponsorship for this position
