Public Relations & Marketing Assistant
Local Public Relations, Marketing & Advertising agency seeks enthusiastic and professional Public Relations & Marketing Assistant. Company offers outstanding professional development in a challenging and fast-paced agency environment.
Responsibilities Include:
· Assisting account executives in client projects, plans, events etc.
· Manage and maintain client relationships
· Develop and implement strategic communication plans
· Design, write, edit and distribute key communication tools including: press releases, media advisories, newsletters, brochures, flyers, email blasts, web pages, speeches, etc.
· Maintaining and expanding media relations including: daily media coverage analysis and new outlet/contact outreach
· Oversee creative development of client projects
· Special event planning, coordination and execution
Job Requirements:
· Bachelors Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or other related field
· 1 - 2 years experience in Public Relations and Marketing
· Professional and dynamic writer with proven experience in developing press material
· Strong desire to understand media environment
· Energetic and confident self-starter and problem solver
· Ability to manage and execute multiple projects/events simultaneously
Skills/Qualifications:
· Must have superior verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
· Experience working with media and developing media relations
· Skilled in basic PR functions including: tracking media coverage, maintaining databases, pitching news outlets, writing press releases and managing projects/events
· Ability to work long hours in large-scale event atmosphere
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop a plus
· Proven experience in viral marketing, online and multi-cultural communications a plus
