Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, the leading provider of real estate services in Northern California, is currently seeking a Public Relations Manager to oversee the public relations arm of the company’s marketing division.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have the following skills and experience:

·        Strong success in editorial placement – specifically the ability to proactively seek a newsworthy topic, write the compelling press release to generate attention and proactively pitch the story to reporters resulting in positive news coverage on behalf of the company.

·        Strong media relations experience including consumer and industry publications, broad range of contacts and contact types and an understanding of dealing with large and small publications alike.

·        Strong understanding of how publications operate – reporter and editor roles and editorial calendars.

·        Success and experience in writing executive communications and speeches.

·        Strategic thinking.

·        Strong writing skills – specifically the ability to deliver compelling content that also delivers on company positioning and key messages.

·        Strong interpersonal skills – must be able to build and leverage relationships with many executive and editorial contacts.

·        Ability to analyze industry data and identify attributes that may result in positive press on behalf of the industry and ultimately, the company.

·        Cross-functional leadership – must be able to work with experts throughout the company and help guide them toward specific outcomes.

·        Help the organization navigate complex issues and effectively communicate its point of view.

·        Fundraising skills – specifically the ability to oversee a half million dollar per year fundraising campaign with the skills necessary to generate even greater results.

·        Real estate experience preferred.

·        Ability to supervise an external public relations agency.

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and 3+ years of related experience.
