Non-profit affordable housing developer, landlord, and service provider seeks a PT Case Manager to provide social services for our 70-unit rooming house in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The population of this rooming house is predominantly Spanish speaking, very low-income, and formerly homeless. Clients may be struggling with issues such as addiction, mental illness, or HIV/AIDS.

GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interview and select new tenants

Confront tenants when neccessary

Act as a liason to the wider community (including local government entities)

Work collaboratively with the Property Manager, Resident Managers, and
Maintenance staff to ensure that tenants are able to stay safely housed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bilingual in Spanish/English (a huge plus, but not required)

An excellent communicator (verbal/written)

Competent with paperwork

Proficient in most normal computer applications

Able to both confront situations, and deescalate situations as appropriate
Well-versed in addiction-related issues (LADC or equivalent training/work experience preferable)

Comfortable with a harm-reduction approach to clients

Kind and compassionate; firm and direct

PAY
$12-$15/hr. DOE, and a casual, fun, and friendly work environment with coworkers who actually like each other!
