The Project Systems Development Manager serves as Region MS project expert and has two areas of focus: (1) project systems management, and (2) perform the duties of a project leader. This position is also responsible for helping to facilitate continuous improvement of business line performance through project systems management, which includes leading the development of solutions that include various information technologies.
Preference Statement: Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of MS Office in a PC Windows environment using Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Oracle, and MS Project.
The salary range is $3810-$5627/month+ excellent benefits. This position is located in Salem, Oregon.
As a Project Systems Development Manager you will:
Serve as the Project Delivery business line point of contact for assigned large scale application development. Specifically this will include region-wide MS project support. Assume the role of system manager for the project team(s). Assure that initiation, planning, procurement, analysis, design, construction, and implementation of projects are executed within schedule and budget. Delegate and manage staff as needed. Define, recommend, and implement policies, processes, and procedures to ensure effective coordination of projects. Analyze budget reports to determine expenses to date for PE and compare to budgeted amount. Determine excessive or erroneous expenditure patterns and take appropriate action to resolve. Coordinate and chair team meetings preparing meeting agenda, ensuring effective negotiations within the team when design changes are required, lead discussions to arrive at consensus on key decision items. Advise resource unit managers on the need for overtime or compensatory time work to meet schedules. Conduct public information meetings to convey project design details and to get feedback on how projects will affect communities. Identify high risk areas for each project and determine which risks are likely to affect the project Assemble multi-disciplinary project scoping teams.
