Jordy Carter Furnishings (“JCF”) was established in 1994 as a full service Contract Furnishings and Laboratory Equipment Dealer. In partnership with Jordy Company General Contractors established in 1958, JCF provides furniture, floor coverings, construction and related services for office, laboratory, industrial, heath care and educational applications.
The Jordy Carter Laboratory Furniture Division offers complete laboratory and product planning services from initial design to final installation as exclusive dealer in Colorado, Utah and New Mexico, for industry leading manufacturers such as Kewaunee Scientific Corporation, and Case Systems, Inc. As part of our consulting & design process, we work closely with owners and general contractors, to help insure a “surprise free project”.
Jordy Carter Lab Division is currently looking for a Project Manager to work out of our Denver Office.
Primary Duties:
The project manager is responsible for providing overall leadership direction for completing multiple projects on time and within budget assuring a repeat customer. Working closely with Sales and Estimating, the project manager will prepare purchase orders and subcontracts in a timely manner coordinating material lead times to keep project on schedule while comparing them closely with the bid documents and the estimate, with a detailed review of all bids used to assure compliance. Putting together complete submittal packages together with engineering to develop professional shop drawings, color selections, samples and cut sheets in a timely fashion to keep project on schedule. Receiving approved submittal package back from customer and making the necessary changes with engineering in a timely fashion so that the material can be dropped to the appropriate manufactures to keep project on schedule. Assuring site readiness, line up installation crews, keep detailed job costs, approve invoices and send out billings on schedule to assure good cash flow. Keep accurate job costs for each project. Follow up with customers to receive billings in a timely fashion. Complete project on time and within budget with minimal punch list items.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelors’ degree in Construction Management, Business Administration or equivalent a plus.
· 3 to 5 years commercial construction experience.
· Familiar with CSI Divisions 6, 10, 11 and 12.
· Proficient in Excel, Word and Microsoft Projects or equivalent, AutoCAD a plus.
· Comfortable with a fast paced environment, Problem Solver, Self Motivated, Organized and able to manage time and priorities with multiple projects.
