Desirable West Michigan manufacturer seeking excellent candidates for direct hire Project Manager position. This individual will do the following: ¿ Manage new product development projects, owning ultimate responsibility for meeting key schedule milestones, cost objectives, budget objectives and design guide criteria from project start to finish. ¿ Manage team members (Core and Support) for project related activities. ¿ Work and communicate with several different countries and cultures. ¿ Take trips overseas to help progress and oversee project startups and troubleshoot project issues with suppliers and/or partners. Frequency and duration will vary; however, on average there will be 1-3 trips per year and last a minimum of 10 business days. ¿ Provide project direction, prioritization and leadership for project teams. Qualified candidates will be capable of effectively communicating, negotiating, and coordinating within all functions of the organization, as well as with key suppliers, vendors and customers. Must be able to successfully influence internal and external contacts regarding highly complex and sensitive topics. Additional requirements: ¿ A minimum of five years experience in any/several of the following areas: Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales or Finance. ¿ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Liberal Arts. ¿ MBA Preferred.
